Phenomenally The Author

SCREAMING: It's A Loud Way To Say Your Not Listening!

                 Phenomenally's Bio

 Why The Name Phenomenally?

The stage name "Phenomenally" came exactly where you guessed. Dr. Maya Angelou inspired my stage name.  I chose the name "Phenomenally" since the first touching poem I read was "Phenomenal Woman".  At the age of 16 I saw Dr. Angelou's poem in my local newspaper. The poem was so special to me, I clipped it out of the newspaper and kept it for years.

Writing

Writing has been a private love of mine since I was a child and  has always been close to my heart. The first time I shared any of my work publicly was  January of 2007.

A close friend, read a few of my unedited poems and suggested that I attend an open mic hosted by our local radio station.  After the suggestion, I shook my butterflies and decided to attend the poetry event.

Ever since that night, I began to perform more pieces of my poetry at multiple open mic's, poetry slams and much more.  Immediately I began sharing my work on myspace and readers would suggest that I publish my work.

Becoming A Published Author

I began submitting my unsolicited poems to editors of literary magazines and blogs.  Almost instantly editors were replying to the submission e-mails agreeing to publish my poems. Many editors loved my unedited and raw poetry.  Further more, I was published immediately in a couple literary magazines, books, calendars and online blogs of which most of them can be found on my "Published Poetry" page.

Current Projects

My first book will be released in 2008.
